Products Overview

High-quality acid and direct dyes for leather, textile and industrial applications. Our dyes are known for their purity, low salt content and zero toxicity. Vedant specializes in azo-chemistry offering an extensive range of poly-azo, metal-complex, and metal-free dyes.

High purity

High purity is achieved by eliminating isomers and byproducts. The end result is very accurate colour shades. Our dyes show least color differences on various substrates (below standard DELTA limits < 1) and, there are exact proportions of the desired dye molecules as identified by HPLC and TLC.

Consistent quality

With PLC controlled and automated production processes, consistent quality is a guarantee. Key raw materials are formulated in-house and our trained workforce conducts quality checks throughout the production process.

Lower toxicity levels

Our products are REACH compliant and pass the ECO test for banned amines and other toxic substances.

  • Banned amines
    (< 30ppm/kg substrate)
  • Nonyl phenols, Nonyl phenol ethoxylates
    (< 100ppm)
  • Free formaldehyde
    (< 50ppm)
  • PCP TeCP, TCP
    (< 0.1ppm)
  • Arsenic, Lead, Mercury, Chromium VI
    (< 1-2ppm)

High exhaustion dyes

Significantly reduced wastage of dyes in the exhaustion bath. Lesser wastage results in reduced raw material cost and easier waste management for dye houses. Due to process intensification techniques and lower impurity profiles, our dyes easily migrate into and attach to the substrate.

Pre-metallized dyes

In order to make the colorants more ecofriendly and with high degree of fastness, the azo dyes are pre-metallized with metal salts. Firstly, the metal ions are strongly bonded with the dye molecules and there is no risk of exposure to free-metal ions. Secondly, by pre-metallizing our dyes, metals concentrations are restricted only to fulfill stoichiometric requirements in the synthesis (2:1 or 1:1 ratio of legend to metal ion). The excess use of metal salts is thus avoided.

Powder to liquid dyes conversion

Vedant’s powder dyes are easily converted to their liquid form. The extremely uniform distribution and low inorganic salt content in our dyes assists the conversion process. Liquid dyes have greater efficacy on application, show zero wastage and reduce pollution.
